About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the Systems Integrator (AV) will be responsible for proficiency in the installations of audio/visual, access, CCTV and video conference, network, and control systems. The position requires the ability to configure and troubleshoot device and systems problems.
The ideal candidate must be a team-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively in overseeing installation crews and product delivery, working closely with team members to ensure that installations are carried out within the specified timeframe and guidelines in an efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be expected to be the daily face of the company to the on-site team that includes clients, designers, developers and architects and their staff.
The ideal candidate will be expected to adhere to the highest quality installation work standards that exist in the industry to bring project installations to final configuration ready status.
Comparable Job Titles: Lead Installation Technician, Senior Installer, Lead AV Technician, or Senior Systems Technician.

Your Impact
Project Management:
- Manage and oversee the execution of multiple technology integration projects, including home automation and commercial automation, from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Professional Installer Supervision:
- Lead a team of professional installers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure project success.
- Monitor and assess installer performance, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Quality Controls:
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all systems meet the highest quality and performance standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify any issues.
Configuration and Systems Integration:
- Oversee the configuration and integration of various technologies, ensuring they work together seamlessly to meet the client's needs.
- Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration challenges.
Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and post-installation phases.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Technical Support:
- Act as a point of contact for clients and internal teams to address technical inquiries and support requests.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance as needed to resolve issues promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned based upon business need.
About You
- 4+ years of proven experience in the installation and integration of home and commercial automation systems is required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 2+ years of leadership and team management experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed is required.
- L2 Police background check will be required.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Expeience interacting with contractors, trades, architects, and designers is preferred.
- Certifications in relevant automation technologies (e.g., CEDIA, Crestron, Control4) is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of automation technologies, including smart home devices, audio/video systems, lighting control, and security systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
